My Reputation Proceeds Me

Garry McGivern’s YouTube video “They Obviously Know Who I Am” was posted on his YouTube channel on the 30th of October 2016. Cycling along in India, minding my own business, when all of a sudden, a car waved me down and out jumped two men. The normal conversation then starts.

Watch Out For Oncoming Traffic

Garry McGivern’s YouTube video “Watch Out For Oncoming Traffic” was posted on his YouTube channel on the 29th of October 2016. Believe it or not. But this isn’t me going the wrong way up a one-way street. Or me cycling on the wrong side of a dual carriageway. This is just what I’m up against almost every day!

Travelsonabike2 India Saturday 29th-October-2016

Arriving in Lucknow.

Garry McGivern Travelsonabike2 is cycle touring in India on Saturday, 29th-October-2016. Kanpur to Lucknow. 53 miles. A very short day today, although sometimes I find them harder. I think it’s that thing of knowing where I’m going to stop. It seems to make the day drag. That’s why I’m always better off not knowing where I’ll end up! Of course, I usually have a rough idea of where I’ll end up, but it’s never a certainty!

If I could get on it!

The ride into Lucknow this afternoon was the usual chaotic nightmare made even worse because they’re building an elevated metro line which ran my whole route into the city.

I might stop here for two nights as the wifi last night wasn’t as good as I thought it would be, and I never achieved everything I wanted. So, yep, you’ve guessed it. Having a strong internet signal means more boring videos are on their way! I also need to look at a time scale for flying home, as my sabbatical in Dhule has thrown me completely out! Plus, it’s Diwali tomorrow, so it might be good to stay put and take part in the festivities. Or maybe just watch!
