Bike-Ride to Australia 3rd-February-2012

Bike-Ride to Australia Friday 3rd-February-2012 Samut Songkhram to Pran Buri. 92 miles. There’s not a lot to say about today. I’ve just had my head down putting the miles in. I’m still a bit worried about getting out of Thailand before my visa expires!

I hear it’s pretty cold back home in the UK. It’s not here! I’m having trouble keeping sunscreen on! It’s so hot; the sun hurts; it’s just so intense! No sooner do I put sunscreen on than it’s running off me, dripping off in my perspiration. And the worst place that I’m having trouble trying to protect from the sun is the backs of my hands! I quite often find myself cycling along with my hands upside down!

Perhaps I should adopt what the Laos people were doing. They used to ride their scooters with an umbrella to keep the sun off. They also used it in the rain. It all seemed to work for them. Maybe I should look into getting an umbrella myself!

I went shopping in Tesco today, ha “every little helps!” I knew I should have bought my Clubcard with me! Considering I didn’t have a lot to say today, there seems to be a lot of writing here!

Don’t forget the main reason behind my ride, which is to raise as much money for cancer research charities as possible. Even the smallest donation helps. You can donate to Cancer Research or the Australian National Breast Cancer Foundation. Click on either one to donate.
