Whatever way, you choose to watch them. Just remember Garry’s no Steven Spielberg and only does them to give a sense of where he is and what he’s experiencing!

Garry McGivern’s Travelsonabike2 YouTube video, Bicycle Touring England 17th January 2024, was posted on his YouTube channel today, the 25th-January-2024. It’s time to leave Salisbury and head home. There aren’t any other campsites nearby that are open at this time of year. And Garry certainly couldn’t cope with wild camping.

Before leaving Salisbury, Garry has to negotiate a flooded subway, and after Garry’s last foray into water. (last July in the New Forest) Is it such a good idea? It seems a lot colder today, possibly the coldest day of the trip. But peddling up the hills soon gets Garry sweating.

Travelsonabike2 YouTube Video 24th-January-2024

Garry McGivern’s Travelsonabike2 YouTube video, Bicycle Touring England 16th January 2024, was posted on his YouTube channel today, the 24th-January-2024. After an even colder night than the previous one, there’s a heavy frost on the tent, both inside and out. But Garry soon gets moving and heads off along the Kennet and Avon canal.

There’s not a lot of choice when it comes to campsites that are open in the winter. So reluctantly, Garry heads back to Salisbury. But not the same way he came up yesterday. Although, Garry soon begins to wish he had when he encounters a big hill and ends up cycling off-road. Neither of which suits Garry these days.

Travelsonabike2 YouTube Video 23rd-January-2024

Garry McGivern’s Travelsonabike2 YouTube video, Bicycle Touring England 15th January 2024, was posted on his YouTube channel today, the 23rd-January-2024. Garry survived the sub-zero conditions last night, and today, he’s heading for another campsite in Devizes.

It’s a lovely sunny day as Garry leaves Salisbury, and he’s somewhat confused as to which route he’s taken. But he soon works it out and heads to Stonehenge. After taking some photos of the stones, Garry heads for Salisbury Plain. It’s then onto Devizes and a ride along the Kennet and Avon canal.

Garry McGivern’s Travelsonabike2 YouTube video, Bicycle Touring England 14th January 2024, was posted on his YouTube channel today, the 22nd-January-2024. Haha, Mr Indecisive, After saying the other day that he wasn’t going to go away camping. Because he didn’t think he’d be able to cope. Well, guess what? Garry is now going away camping!

There aren’t many campsites open at this time of the year, so Garry is somewhat restricted. But the campsite at Salisbury is, so despite it being bitterly cold, Garry’s heading there for the night.
