European Bike Ride 25th-August-2022

Garry McGivern’s European bike ride, Thursday, 25th-August-2022. Bognor Regis to Portsmouth. 26 miles. Finally, after three long years, I’m heading off to France with the hope of cycling to Liechtenstein. A bit of a random place, I know, but there are still a lot of Covid-19 restrictions around the world, and besides, I don’t have a huge amount of time. Because surprise, surprise, I have to be back for a hospital appointment! Plus, I’ve never been to Liechtenstein.

What a lovely end to the day

The ride from home to Portsmouth was pretty uneventful, apart from a headwind.

There are plenty of other cyclists on the ferry, which is hardly surprising as it’s a bank holiday weekend.

I’m not expecting to cycle my normal mileage, as my anaemia has returned. And I tend to get worn out rather easily, but you never know, I may be okay on my bike.

You can follow my journey on the where’s Garry web page or on Google maps. Behind each marker is a brief description of the day, along with the miles cycled that day.

I’m also planning on trying my hand at live streaming videos, which will be posted on my YouTube channel. There’s a link below if you want to follow that or subscribe to my YouTube channel.
