Friday 23rd March 2012 – Perth to Northam.

Perth to Northam. 66 miles.

Hard ride today, quite hilly but not too bad it was the headwind that was the problem, it was against me all day, luckily I knew it would be a fairly short ride today. Because of the environment I’m in I’ve got to stop where I know they’ll be somewhere to stay, although today was short I think tomorrow could be quite a long one!

Noticed that as I was riding along the greenery or bush is slowly disappearing and it’s getting more baron, although I think it’ll be a few days before I’m really in the desert. Not worried too much about the desert as long as I can carry enough water! It’s not as if I’m the first person to ever cycle it!

Lovely campsite tonight and only £9, there’s a kettle, toaster and fridge that you can use in the little kitchen area, which is something we don’t get in Europe and lovely soft grass to pitch the tent on.
