It was Remembrance Day in the UK this month. Held on the 11th of November, which is also known as Armistice Day. It marks the day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, back in 1918. A two-minute silence is held every year at the same time to remember and honour all soldiers who have died in all wars since. This year, to mark the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War, the Tower of London in London had an art display called “Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red”, a display of 888,246 ceramic poppies one for every British soldier that lost their life in the first world war.
