Garry started his tour of India and Nepal in Mumbai and was going to cycle up to Darjeeling and enter Nepal from the East. Unfortunately, Garry fell ill five days into the trip with a chest infection and had to rest up for ten days.
After resting for ten days, Garry once again sets off. However, he was still feeling unwell and decided to head towards New Delhi and get a flight home.
Luckily after a few more days cycling Garry started to feel a lot better and decided to continue his tour to Nepal, although now he didn’t have enough time to cycle across the entire length of Nepal!
Instead, Garry entered Nepal at the Raxaul/Birganj border crossing and cycled up the Tribhuvan Highway, which proved to be a tough ride, and it took Garry four days to complete the 120 miles to Kathmandu!
After two days in Kathmandu Garry headed west across Nepal and passed through the Chitwan and Bardia national parks where he saw crocodiles, turtles, elephants and loads of monkeys before entering back into India at Bhimdatta.
After another couple of days cycling, Garry reached New Delhi where his tour finished after cycling 2087 miles.
