Bike-Ride to Australia 12th-May-2012

Garry McGivern’s bike-ride to Australia Saturday 12th-May-2012. In Brisbane. My bike was ready and fully serviced, ready for my ride back home. Zoe dropped me at the cycle shop, where I also picked up a box. It felt really good to be back in the saddle, even if it was only an eight-mile ride.

I’m looking forward to my ride home even more now. I know I’ve only been off the bike for six days, but it feels a lot longer!

I didn’t do too much after arriving back at Zoe and Errol’s. I was worn out! Of course, I wasn’t really. Do you know who I am and how far I’ve cycled in the last six months!! Errol and I went hunting for redback spiders in the garden but couldn’t find any. This afternoon, I spent some time uploading the photos I’ve taken as I cycled across Australia. You can view them on my Flickr page, along with all the other photos I’ve taken so far.

And in the evening we had a BBQ, where I met some more of Errol and Zoe’s friends, which was nice. I got to bore them with my story.
