Travelsonabike2 Brockenhurst 13th-April-2019

Travelsonabike2 bike ride Saturday 13th-April-2019 Bognor Regis to Brockenhurst. 60 miles. Julies home, and so are Vicky and Paul. So finally, after three weeks of babysitting cats and dogs, I’m free of all duties and can go away! Although it’s been a bit of a tie, it’s not really been a problem. And I’ve enjoyed looking after Toby, Murphy and Wilson.

Originally I thought I would go away for a couple of weeks. I knew I couldn’t go away for longer as I’ve got my pre-op at the beginning of May. But then I realised that I’d got a doctor’s appointment in two days just for a change!

It was a nice ride down. I seem to be getting back into this cycle touring malarkey! And it was good to be once again camping in the New Forest. It doesn’t matter how many times I have come here. I still enjoy it. It was also nice to see the managers of the campsite, they’ve been here for a few years now, and I always have a bit of banter with them. After only seeing me twice last year, they had wondered where I’d been. And they usually see on the first day of the season as well, which was two days ago on Thursday the 11th. Cue the story of last year!

All set up for the night

Last night, I went into Brockenhurst village to the local Tesco’s to get supper. But I got distracted and spent the evening in the pub! Oops! Not too sure what I’m going to do tomorrow. I might stay put or possibly go to the Isle of Wight. I’ll decide in the morning.
