Saturday 24th November 2012 – Gatwick to Felpham.

Gatwick to Felpham. 51 miles.

Wet ride home, it rained all the way.

Got to Fox and was greeted by about 50 or 60 of my friends and family, all standing out in the rain. Once I got inside there was a surprise party organised, with the pub all decorated with flags of the world, photos of my trip and posts from my website all around. A lovely big cake with all the countries names that I’d been through decorated on it, which was very kindly donated by Cake Fayre a local cake shop.

Spirit fm were there to present me with my local hero award and my local newspaper the Bognor Observer was there to interview me.

Some friends paid for food which was done on the theme of different dishes from around the world.

Really nice to see everybody and hopefully I got around to speak to everyone.

Spent the afternoon talking to everybody and drinking of course and then went for a curry in the evening.

Really really enjoyed the surprise, a big thank you to my Vicky, Julie, Russ and Putney Mick for organising the party and Adam and Sarah for all there help on the day and all the fundraising that they’ve done in the Fox over the past year.

A big thanks to Steph, who for the past year has looked after the website and posted all my blogs.

Thanks also to everybody that’s sent me messages of support and encouragement they were always nice to receive and read.

Thanks for all the donations I’ve reached and past my target, not sure of the final amount but it’s nearly £11,000 plus the $2350 from Australia really pleased with all of that.

Total mileage covered 22,154.

Roll on the next tour, getting itchy feet already.
