Well I did say the other day in my monthly update that I wanted to get away! Well after being stuck indoors because of the slippery conditions yesterday, I decided to come away today!
I’ve only come down to Christchurch via the New Forest, which was very nice to see once again!
Originally I was going to go to Swanage, I wanted to go camping! yes I know it’s like Antarctica out there but my equipment should be up to it! Not too sure whether I am though!

But because it was so icy first thing I wasn’t able to get on the road very early, I really don’t want to fall off! And leaving late meant I didn’t have enough time to get to Swanage, I did look for a campsite around here, but their all closed! So I’m staying at a hotel.
Pleasant ride down, it was good to be back on the road!
It’s been pretty cold all day with a strong wind, but it’s been lovely and sunny.
There’s not been any snow to talk about, but there was definitely more in the New Forest.

The roads have all been generally clear of any snow or ice! Although in a few places where the sun hasn’t got to, it was a bit slippy, and I felt my back wheel go on a few occasions!
Not too sure what I’m going to do tomorrow, I’ll have a think overnight.
You just get on a bike and do it. Cor! Camping in this weather. Nice photos
I see bikes in the Newport bus station that have been abandoned. The owners seem to have lost the keys.
Best wishes – Malc.
As I said, I’d like to think I’d go camping, but to actually do it is a different story!
Maybe you could go and get one of those bikes for yourself!!
Hi Garry, great to see you are on a trip, doing better daily mileage than us!
Cheers Dave, I hope you and Helen are both okay?
You don’t seem to be doing so bead yourselves! And as I’ve always said, it doesn’t matter how many miles you do, as long as your enjoying yourself!
good success!!
Thanks András.
