Garry McGivern Travelsonabike2 is cycle touring in England on Saturday 8th-April-2017. Greywell to Bognor. 51 miles. I was a good boy last night and only had a few pints and something to eat before retiring to my tent at about 10 o’clock.
It was rather cold this morning. There was even a frost on the tent! But it didn’t take too long to warm up once the sun was out.
I was quite surprised how close to home I was last night and I was back in my area by about midday. Although I didn’t actually get home until late!
Once I knew that I was fairly close to home (20 miles), I decided to stop off at a pub I frequent quite often and have a pint! Unfortunately or not, depending on your point of view. They had a beer festival on, so I decided to stay and have a couple more!
After having a few more pints, I decided that I best get home, but just as I was about to leave, some friends turned up and persuaded me to have a drink with them!
And that was it for the rest of the day and evening!
Total miles covered in the past few days 220.

That’s the life man! Lovely pictures but your head keeps getting in the way.
You’ve been to Paris. How about Toulouse, Lyon and Grenoble? I cycled from Boulogne to Cherbourg – that was a lovely trip.
Best wishes – Malc.
I’m definitely aiming to go to France this year but not too sure whereabouts yet!
Perhaps you should take your electric bike over and retrace your route from Boulogne to Cherbourg! Or maybe just do Cherbourg to Caen that’s a lovely route along the D-Day landing beaches.
