St-Richards-Hospital 23rd July 2021

Garry McGivern Travelsonabike2 is currently in St-Richards-Hospital on the 23rd July 2021. I’ve not had a good start to the day, I was in so much pain! Not from my hip but from my sciatica! Why these doctors (not my surgeon) think that they know best and can just stop your medication like that! Do they think I take it for a joke, and have been for years! There was a few expletives being thrown around by me! And if I met the doctor concerned they’ll get a mouthful from me, and I’ve told them so!

At least I’ve got a nice room

Talking to my consultant this morning, he thinks it’s highly likely that it’s the same bug I had in 2018! And it’s just been laying dormant all these years!

Which leg?

Right well I’m just off to theatre so I’ll post this early today. See you all on the other side!

    1. Don’t worry I won’t András! They’ve just got to find the bug which is causing the infection. They think it might be the bug from 2018, when I contacted sepsis! And it’s been laying dormant in me, waiting to pounce!

  1. They couldn’t care less. You should have stayed in India. Watch out for the painkillers coz they can give you constipation. Drink plenty of beer.

    1. I think it’s just young doctors! Being young doctors! It’s like being abroad her anyway with all the foreign nurses and doctors! And god it is, we’d be stuffed without them!
Why do you think I drink plenty of beer!?

  2. Oh Garry, so sorry to read this – have a good snooze u drr anaesthetic and hopefully, by the time you wake up you will be in
    Less pain.
Good luck with a speedy recovery xx

    1. Thanks Pat, unfortunately I woke up in a lot of pain! But they soon got that under control! And I had the best sleep in weeks last night, despite the thunder and lightning.

      1. It’s all easier to cope with if you manage plenty of sleep.
I really can’t believe this bug has raised its ugly head again.
Don’t be impatient to leave there – make sure you’ve got a handle on it first.
        Sending love 😘
