St-Richards-Hospital 30th July 2021

Garry McGivern Travelsonabike2 is in St-Richards-Hospital on 30th July 2021. Well its been a pretty boring day, with nothing really happening.

The doctor visited this morning and said it was a shame we couldn’t get you home for the weekend! But with your wound still weeping, it wouldn’t be a good idea!

In some respects it just like being at home

I asked her about my infection markers, and that if they’re coming down, why is my wound still weeping? She said it’s probably my body’s own defence, pushing out the infection. Just like a spot that’s full of pus! It made sense to me.

I got a little bored yesterday, so I made a short YouTube video, which you can watch the video below or on Garry’s YouTube channel. But honestly, it won’t be any more enjoyable wherever you watch the video!

  1. Cycle ride to West Wittering and now you’re on the Wittering ward. he he. Still on nil by mouth? Can you sneak out for fish and chips when the night nurse is asleep. We Haven’t seen any bedside gatherings with your support team.

    1. Ha, that is a bit apt! No of course I’m not nil by mouth, that was only the first day or two.
No sneaking out the doors are locked, and the guards patrol the grounds!
There’s hardly any visiting allowed. It’s only one person per day, and that’s only for an hour!
