St-Richards-Hospital 3rd September 2021

St-Richards-Hospital 3rd September 2021. Well, once again what can I say! There was me thinking everything was going well! Unfortunately, the hospital thought different!

Comedy chair!

Yesterday (2nd September) I went to see my consultant, and it was the first day since the beginning of July that I was able to drive myself! (Cycling is still out of the question!) Unfortunately, after looking at my wound, Mr Wakeling decided that I needed to have it washed out again, and soon! I was pre-warned that it might be tomorrow, as in today. But they would phone me later in the day.

Which side?

After not hearing anything all afternoon I gave up and decided it wasn’t going to happen. And decided to have a few beers! Unfortunately, it wasn’t just a few, especially when Mick one of my drinking buddies from the Fox came around!  So it did turn into a bit of a session! Probably not the best thing to do prior to Surgery! But as far as I was concerned it wasn’t going to happen! Then at 10 pm, they called. Asking me to be at the hospital at 7.30 tomorrow morning! Talk about short notice!

So here we are once again back in St Richard’s hospital! I’m hoping that it won’t be as long as my last stay though!

  1. Well, Damn it! You out on the road is the only little pleasure I get. A 10.30 call? Kafka couldn’t make it up.
