The Tribhuvan Highway

Cycling the Tribhuvan Highway in Nepal.

A collection of the photos and videos Garry took on his cycle ride up the Tribhuvan Highway in November 2016.

For a while, the Highway was the only main road linking India and Nepal. It runs from the Raxaul/Birganj border to Naubise, 16 miles west of Kathmandu.

This video is the section north of Hetauda in the Sivalik Hills to Naubise. It’s only 20 miles as the crow flies, but the twisting turning road takes it to over 60 miles! It’s an endless series of climbs and descents.
