Bicycle Tour Video
Garry McGivern’s Travelsonabike2 YouTube bicycle tour video S25 E32 was posted on his YouTube channel today, the 23rd of November 2025. It’s the video version of the post Garry wrote on the 6th of October 2025 while on tour. Garry’s been at home for a few days after returning home early from the New Forest because of Storm Amy. He was only home a day earlier than planned as he had to be home for his flu jab.
It’s a late start for Garry; it’s nearly midday, but he finally decides to go away. The weather forecast was still supposed to be bad. But seeing as it isn’t, Garry decides to get on the road. It doesn’t matter that it’s a late start; he’s not got far to go today. He’s only off to the Isle of Wight, where he had planned to go a few days before. On the ride to the Isle of Wight ferry, Garry debates whether he should go to France or not. He’s come equipped just in case with his passport in his pocket.
Garry times his ride to the ferry with perfection. The ferry comes in just as Garry arrives at the ferry terminal. On the island, Garry rediscovers some old cycle routes that he thinks are new. They’re not; he just doesn’t remember going on them before. It’s not long before he reaches camp, although it’s dark by the time he gives a recap of the day.
