Bicycle Touring England

Garry McGivern Travelsonabike2 is bicycle touring England on Monday, the 31st-March-2025. Brockenhurst to Langton Matravers. 40 miles. Even though I’ve only cycled forty miles today, it still took most of the day.

It took a good couple of hours to cycle out of the New Forest. I seemed to stop every five minutes or so for one reason or another. Then, cycling along Bournemouth seafront. Despite it being flat and an easy ride. That also took nearly two hours. Personally, I think it was all the bikini-clad ladies on the beach! I couldn’t believe they were there. (It’s been warm, but not that warm.) I had to stop each time I saw one just to make sure I wasn’t seeing things!

Cycling up the Purbeck Hills to Swanage and then onto Tom’s Field at Langton Matravers (tonight’s campsite) wasn’t too bad. I always think the thought is worse than the deed. Although it is always a hard slog when it’s at the end of the day. Although not today, as we’ve only cycled forty miles.
