Garry McGivern Travelsonabike2 is bicycle touring in England on Saturday, the 14th-September-2024. In Brockenhurst. Well, it’ll come as no surprise to anyone that I didn’t move on today; it’s just so nice in the New Forest. That’s why it’s always better to make Holland’s Wood my last stop; then it doesn’t matter.
Everybody was complaining this morning about how cold it was last night. And that was people in motorhomes. Really, what’s the matter with these people? It really wasn’t that cold. Bloody wimps!
Once again, I’ve not done a lot today. I’ve mainly been messing around with a new mount for my GoPro camera, which I use for all my YouTube videos. We’ll see how that works out when I get around to sorting the videos out from this trip. I’m not convinced it’s stable enough.
I also spent a lot of time toing and froing from Brockenhurst. I decided to cook spag bol for supper tonight when I was in Brockenhurst first thing this morning and brought some mince and mushrooms. Unfortunately, I failed to check whether I had all the other ingredients. I kept remembering what I didn’t have throughout the day. But after a couple of trips to the supermarket, I gave up and just had some crisps and other picky bits for supper instead. Hopefully, the mince will keep until tomorrow.
I seem to remember the last time I cooked this meal (as a camping recipe) was in France in 2008. I think I forgot the tomatoes that time. Maybe somebody’s trying to tell me something and I shouldn’t cook this meal when camping!
I’m not going anywhere tomorrow, either. I’ve got my daughter and her family coming down for the day, which will be nice. They want to see my second home!
