Garry McGivern Travelsonabike2 is bicycle touring in England on Wednesday, the 9th-October-2024. Salisbury to Townsend, near Cheddar. 65 miles. Sixty-five miles isn’t exactly right. I think I’d probably done about twelve of those miles going to the hospital yesterday. But hey, ho.
It was a tough ride today, and I had to walk up quite a few hills. It wouldn’t have been so bad had my phone not changed its setting, which then took me down all the lanes. I only realised when it wanted to take me off road down some muddy track. But it doesn’t matter. We’ve made it to where we wanted to be. And I made it here in the dry. The heavens opened just as I’d finished putting the tent up.

Believe it or not, but I am on my way home, just not in a direct way. I had hoped to go a little further afield after my hospital appointment yesterday. And I even brought my passport with me. But I forgot that I’ve got another hospital appointment next week! So I’m just heading home the long way round and should be home Sunday or Monday.
