Travelsonabike2 France Saturday 8th-June-2024

Garry McGivern Travelsonabike2 is bicycle touring France on Saturday, the 8th-June-2024 in Le Treport. Seeing as I’ve cycled so many miles in the last week! I thought I deserved a day off. My blistering pace is hard to keep up.

No, I decided to stay where I am as it’s one of the cheaper campsites I’ve stayed at. And why not? It is also Sunday tomorrow, and nowhere is open, so I thought I could stock up with supplies for tomorrow (beer) and not have to worry about finding anything tomorrow. There’s a good supermarket near the campsite.

I was a good boy today and even washed my towel

I ventured into Le Treport this morning and went along the quay. There wasn’t a lot there. It was mainly full of restaurants. Although there was a market. And the fishermen were selling their day’s catch. Le Treport, like so many other towns along this part of the coast, is at the head of a valley, which is great if you’re heading inland but not so good when cycling the coast.

Better To Be Safe Than Sorry

I decided that I’d better buy some antiseptic spray today. The cuts on my legs are starting to mount up. And the last thing I need is to get an infection. I should have brought the spray I got last year when I was here. Perhaps I should just carry it along with all the other creams, ointments, pills, tablets and potions I already have to carry. After all, what’s one more?
