Travelsonabike2 Saturday 22nd-July-2023

Garry McGivern Travelsonabike2 is cycle touring in Europe Saturday, 22nd-July-2023. Virton to Arlon via Luxembourg. 47 miles. I’m surprised it’s that many miles to be honest. The amount of phaffing around taking photos today.

Last night was the first decent night’s sleep on this trip. There was no teenager’s summer camp. Nobody having a party. And no noisy neighbours talking until the early hours of the morning. Although I could hear a concert or something way off in the distance, which wasn’t loud enough to worry me.

Notre Dame Cathedral viewed from under the Adolphe Bridge. There’s a cycle path there.

Haha now if you look at the map on my “Where’s Garry” webpage it only looks as if I’ve come a few miles down the road, which I have really. But I did deviate into Luxembourg before stopping here to Arlon.

Luxembourg was good although rather hilly. And I didn’t recognise anything from the last time I was here. Mind you it was only a fleeting visit when I was on my way to Australia. And it was raining. And if memory serves me correctly I cycled straight through without stopping it was so wet. I only came to Luxembourg in the first place so I could add another country to my list that I visited on my way to Australia.

Subscribe to my blog and follow me as I travel around on my bike. Plus, as a subscriber, you’ll be among the first to receive news and updates on future tours. And, of course, you can always follow me on social media Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest.

You can also follow my progress and see where I stop each night by visiting the Where’s Garry web page; there, you’ll find a map of the route I’ve taken so far.
