Travelsonabike2 Wednesday 4th-September-2024

Garry McGivern Travelsonabike2 is bicycle touring in England on Wednesday, the 4th-September-2024. Brockenhurst to Bognor Regis. 76 miles. Long day today, all down to me pratting around and knowing that I wasn’t going anywhere tomorrow. It was gone six by the time I walked in my door.

Mind you, I say long day. It was gone 8 o’clock when I left camp. And then, with all my phaffing about on social media, I don’t think I left the New Forest until nearly eleven. And, of course, I continued to mess about on social media all the way home.

Duck!

One of the reasons for such a late start is that I was fascinated by the squirrels. There seem to be so many of them. All busy gathering their acorns, building a supply to carry them through the winter. I saw them bury one or two, but not in the same place. How on earth do they remember where they buried them?

I’m Not Hanging Around

Once I get tomorrow out of the way, I’m thinking that maybe I’ll go away again. Although Friday is the start of the weekend, but it’s getting late in the season, so places might not be so busy. Mind you, I’ve only got a few days. I’ve got the hospital again next week! It all gets rather boring sometimes.

Subscribe to my blog and follow me as I travel around on my bike. Plus, as a subscriber, you’ll be among the first to receive news and updates on future tours. And, of course, you can always follow me on social media: Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest. I’m also on Flickr, where I’ll publish the photos from this tour once I’m home. Pictures from all my tours and monthly photos can also be found on Flickr.

You can also follow my progress and see where I stop each night by visiting the Where’s Garry web page; there, you’ll find a map of the route I’ve taken so far.
