Bike-Ride to Australia-and-Beyond 12th-June-2012

Garry McGivern’s bike-ride to Australia-and-beyond Tuesday, 12th-June-2012 Franklin to Hebron. 79 miles. Guess what? I’ve had a headwind again today. This wind is really starting to annoy me now. Stopping off for lunch today, I talked to the people running the café. I told them that the wind was getting annoying now. But at least things were better here than back home with all the flooding.

They said that the wind never blows from the East here, apart from when it’s going to rain. And we could sure do with some. It’s not rained in ages. What? The wind has been blowing from the East more or less all the time I’ve been here, and I’ve not had any rain!

Perhaps somebody could send some rain from home, seeing as they’ve got flooding. But wait until I’m out of the area, please! Apparently, there’s another wind advisory out for tomorrow again! Great, just what I need!

Please Donate

Don’t forget the main reason behind my ride. I want to raise as much money for cancer research charities as possible. After my wife, Josie, died of breast cancer in 2007, aged only 42. Even the smallest donation helps. You can donate to Cancer Research UK or the Australian National Breast Cancer Foundation. Click on either one to donate. Every little bit helps to rid the world of this cruel disease.
