Garry McGivern’s Travelsonabike2 YouTube video of the Two Tunnels Greenway, or NCN Route 244, was recorded as Garry cycled to Wales. As usual, Garry had no idea that he would be cycling on this Greenway. Due to his lack of planning and just following his phone. But that’s what Garry likes, usually!
It’s not long into the ride before Garry comes across the Coombe Down Tunnel at, 1670 metres long. This for the UK is a rarity, and Garry can’t recall another cycle route in the UK that he’s travelled on with a tunnel of this length. There’s a surprise in store for Garry as he rides through the tunnel. Unfortunately, Garry’s ride was cut short due to maintenance on the second tunnel.
