Garry McGivern’s bike-ride to Australia-and-beyond Wednesday, 13th-June-2012 Hebron to Tecumseh. 84 miles. I’ve had a strong side wind today, which is a bit better than a headwind. But a bit worrying when the trucks come thundering past!
Riding along today, I passed a field of cows, who, as normal, just stare. I bet they’re thinking, what is that idiot doing. But these cows followed me along their field. It must have been for half a mile or so. And they only stopped when they hit the wire at the end of the field! I do like cows.
I stopped off at a service station to buy some snacks. One girl had her front tooth missing, and the other didn’t have any teeth! They made me feel right at home!
I met Lori and Deb tonight when I went for a drink in “Ole dad’s” sports bar and grill. They introduced me to Rocky Mountain Oysters, which tasted lovely. Until I found out what they are, they’re bull testicles! While in the bar, I got interviewed for the ” Tecumseh Chieftain”, the local newspaper. They also took my photo. So I had to make sure I had my tooth in, or they might think I wasn’t what I’d said and that I was local!
