China, Cycling The World 14th-November-2012

Garry McGivern Travelsonabike2 is in China, cycling around the world on Wednesday, 14th-November-2012. Luliang to Qingxu. 94 miles. I’ve not cycled as far as I wanted to today despite cycling over ninety miles. The first five hours of the day were spent going uphill!

Amountain range with a road running up it
Looking back done the mountain road, I’d just cycled up

It’s a very polluted area at the moment. I can barely see more than a few hundred feet in any direction. There’s just a constant thick layer of smog in the air I think there’s some steel works and other heavy industry around.

Please Donate

Don’t forget the main reason behind my ride. I want to raise as much money for cancer research charities as possible. After my wife, Josie, died of breast cancer in 2007, aged only 42. Even the smallest donation helps. You can donate to Cancer Research UK or the Australian National Breast Cancer Foundation. Click on either one to donate. Every little bit helps to rid the world of this cruel disease.

Follow me on social media: Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest. I’m also on Flickr, where my photos are released first at the end of each country I’ve just cycled through.

You can also follow my progress and see where I stop each night by visiting the Where’s Garry web page; there, you’ll find a map of the route I’ve taken so far.
