Really late start today, didn’t wake up until 10 o’clock, obviously I was more tired than I thought after my flight.

Once I was up I went out to get some maps and fuel for my camping stove, which involved walking all over the place but got them in the end.

Went to pier 39, fisherman’s wharf, the pier itself felt very much like a theme park, with loads of themed shops on it. Saw the sea lions at the end of it, apparently they only appeared there after the earthquake in 1989, also saw Alcatraz which I might go over to tomorrow, also went and saw Lombard st, the crookedest street in the world.

Went to a Thai buffet tonight with a mother and daughter who are also staying at my hotel, it was really nice, bit strange there though, they had this big pool in the middle with thunder and lightning that kept going off every so often, which didn’t really work, but the food was nice and the company was good.
