Bike-Ride to Australia 2nd-April-2012

Bike-Ride to Australia Monday 2nd-April-2012 Mundrabilla to Border Village. 49 miles. I’m out of Western Australia now and in South Australia, although only just. Nice short day today. I’m stopping at Border Village, which surprisingly is on the border of Western and South Australia. The next roadhouse is 180km away. A long day to look forward to tomorrow.

Not far to go then!

I’m really struggling and finding it hard to understand how I can go for miles and days in a supposedly developed country like Australia and not have a phone signal! Yet all the allegedly less developed countries I’ve been through, I always had a phone signal, apart from when the phone wasn’t working, but we won’t talk about that!

There have been loads of flies today that are so annoying. They are constantly buzzing around me. I’m sure I don’t smell that bad! They just won’t go away, no matter how fast I peddle. I saw on the news tonight that it’s been the hottest April day on record, probably why there were so many flies!

I think the clocks go forward another forty-five minutes again tomorrow!

Don’t forget the main reason behind my ride, which is to raise as much money for cancer research charities as possible. Even the smallest donation helps. You can donate to Cancer Research or the Australian National Breast Cancer Foundation. Click on either one to donate.
