Three bicycle tours this year, England, France, then Spain and Portugal.
Garry had another operation on his back early in the year which curtailed his cycling a bit! Once again having to go to the hospital every week!
Because of his operation, Garry decided to stay in England for his first tour.
His first bicycle tour of the year in March was a disjointed ride around the east coast of England. Starting from his home in Bognor Regis cycling up as far as Kings Lynn but not in one go! He had to come home for a hospital appointment halfway through!
Garry quickly followed up his tour in England with a tour in France, in April.
Garry decided to follow part of the route he took on his very first long distance cycle ride in 2008. He was going to cycle the D-Day beaches of Normandy.
On his final tour of the year in May Garry caught a ferry to Spain. He cycled 2000-miles around Spain and Portugal on this tour, in temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius on some days!
