Garry’s bike ride to Greece. Garry’s only major tour of the year, cycling over 2000 miles to Athens! Garry had spent the past year working, trying to catch up after taking the previous year off to cycle around the world! It was now September, and Garry was suffering from a bad back! As a way of curing his recurring back pain, he decided to go on a bike ride! After all, whenever he’d been in pain in the past, a good bike ride had always cured it! In fact, Garry’s hurt was so great he only decided to go away the night before leaving!

Garry McGivern’s Twitter Photo 8th-October-2013

A cycle touring photo that was posted on my Twitter account Garry Mcgivern’s Travelsonabike2 on the 8th-October-2013 I was in Sveti Stefan on my way to Greece when I took the photo. I hadn’t moved today and stayed put in the hotel due to the bad weather.

I’d had spent the past year working, trying to catch up after taking the previous year off to cycle around the world! It was now September, and I was suffering from a bad back! And as a way of curing my recurring bad back. I decided to go on a bike ride! After all, a good bike ride had always cured me whenever I’d been in pain before! So I decided to ride to Athens.

Travelsonabike2 Flickr Video Part-2 7th-October-2013

Garry McGivern’s Travelsonabike2 Flickr Video Part-2 was taken on the 7th-October-2013, and posted on his Flickr page. It’s a wet day in Sveti Stefan and Garry’s bored. The view from my room, which would look a lot better on a sunny day.

Looking out my hotel window this morning, it was grey and overcast and didn’t look very pleasant at all. after having breakfast I went back to my room to get my bags and leave. But in the time it took to get from the restaurant to my room, it started to rain.

Thinking that maybe it would pass over quickly, I thought I’d give it half an hour to see if it would stop. It didn’t. Instead, it got worse with the wind getting up and the rain getting heavier! That was it. I wasn’t going anywhere today. It was miserable riding conditions out there and no fun at all!

The video, which Garry filmed on his way to Greece, was originally posted on his Flickr Page but has now been transferred to YouTube. You can watch the video below or on Garry’s YouTube channel. But honestly, it won’t be any more enjoyable wherever you watch the video! You can also subscribe to his channel. You’ll then be amongst the first to know when Garry releases a new video.
