Garry’s bike ride to Greece. Garry’s only major tour of the year, cycling over 2000 miles to Athens! Garry had spent the past year working, trying to catch up after taking the previous year off to cycle around the world! It was now September, and Garry was suffering from a bad back! As a way of curing his recurring back pain, he decided to go on a bike ride! After all, whenever he’d been in pain in the past, a good bike ride had always cured it! In fact, Garry’s hurt was so great he only decided to go away the night before leaving!

Travelsonabike2 Greece Thursday 17th-October-2013

Garry McGivern Travelsonabike2 is cycle touring in Greece on Thursday, 17th-October-2013. In Athens. I was starting to get a bit worried first thing this morning. After managing to get everything yesterday that I needed to pack my bike and gear away for the flight home apart from the box for my bike!

I was told yesterday by one shop that they would have a box for me today and to come back at 10 o’clock today, which I did, but no box and got told to come back in another hour. Again, after another hour, I went back, still no box! I was definitely starting to get a bit anxious now. But they assured me that it would be ok and that they were just waiting on a delivery! I eventually got a box at about 1 pm and quickly went back to the hotel to start packing my bike away.

Garry McGivern’s Twitter Photo 15th-October-2013

A cycle touring photo that was posted on my Twitter account Garry Mcgivern’s Travelsonabike2 on the 15th-October-2013 I was in Elesfina, Greece on my way to Athens when I took the photo.

I’d had spent the past year working, trying to catch up after taking the previous year off to cycle around the world! It was now September, and I was suffering from a bad back! And as a way of curing my recurring bad back. I decided to go on a bike ride! After all, a good bike ride had always cured me whenever I’d been in pain before! So I decided to ride to Athens.
