Garry McGivern Travelsonabike2 is cycling across the USA on Friday, 8th-June-2012. Sterling to Imperial. 88 miles. That storm last night wasn’t a full-blown tornado, but apparently, there was one a few miles away. Maybe we just caught the edge of it.
I’ve now left Colorado and am in Nebraska now, and the terrain has changed yet again. It’s still flat, but the grass that I had yesterday has changed to fields of wheat and corn. Apparently, there’s a popcorn factory nearby. A random fact I was told by somebody!
No storms today, but that wind is definitely a pain. And it gets worse as the day goes on, or maybe I just struggle more as the day goes on. But then I am in tornado alley, and it is the tornado season!

Don’t forget the main reason behind my ride. I want to raise as much money for cancer research charities as possible. After my wife, Josie, died of breast cancer in 2007, aged only 42. Even the smallest donation helps. You can donate to Cancer Research UK or the Australian National Breast Cancer Foundation. Click on either one to donate. Every little bit helps to rid the world of this cruel disease.
