12th September 2022 Garry McGivern’s Europe-2022 bicycle-tour video; episode-17. Cormeilles to Ouistreham. It’s a late start for Garry but seeing as he’s only got about forty miles to cycle today, it didn’t matter.
It’s the final leg of Garry’s ride in France as he heads for the ferry that will take him back to England. It’s an easy ride today, mainly flat or downhill. As he rides along, he debates whether to catch a ferry today or camp at Ouistreham and get tomorrow’s ferry.
After reaching the coast, Garry crosses Pegasus Bridge, which he’s crossed many times in the past. But it’s a first for him as he cycles across it from east to west.
Unfortunately, Garry’s camera didn’t record his last update before getting on the ferry. Then after delays on the ferry and a nightmare trying to get home, Garry never recorded anything else. Which he only realised when editing these videos. So apologies for that.
