31st August-2022 Garry McGivern’s Europe-2022 bicycle-tour video; episode-7. Samoreau to Nogent-sur-Seine. Garry was unable to get his saddle fixed yesterday and had to buy a new one. The juries out on whether it’s comfortable, but the early signs don’t seem too bad. But then he’s only cycled a couple of miles.
It’s a pleasant start to the day as Garry finds himself cycling on a cycle route beside the Seine. Although he soon gets fed up with that and returns to the roads, which seem rather busy today.
Later in the day, Garry goes back to following the cycle routes and the Seine, but after the route he was following turns into an overgrown track, he turns around. But after cycling the two miles back to where he can pick up a road. Garry’s had enough of the day and decides to finish early, especially as he spotted a campsite on his way back to the road. And as the name might suggest, (Nogent-sur-Seine) Garry’s camping next to the Seine again tonight.
