This was Garry’s first long distance cycle ride in June 2008, which was for charity. He caught the ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao Spain then cycled all the way around the coast of France up to Calais, where he then caught a ferry back to Dover, England cycling back along the south coast to his home town of Bognor Regis, raising over £5000 for St Wilfred’s hospice, a local charity that cared for Garry’s wife.
