28th August-2022 Garry McGivern’s Europe-2022 bicycle-tour video; episode-4. Sees to Courville-sur-Eure. It’s a late start for Garry after being kept awake for much of the night. But it’s a lovely sunny day as Garry sets off for the day.
As Garry cycles along, he can’t help noticing how green everywhere is, especially as the UK was in the grips of a heatwave and was looking very dry and baron when he left. He also notes how smooth the roads are. The roads in the UK are so bad these days. It’s a bit like being in a third-world country.
With little sleep last night, Garry’s struggling a bit with the hills, especially as when he looked at the route for the day, it was supposed to be “mainly flat”. Drudging up the hills means that Garry attracts plenty of flies. I’m pretty sure he washed his clothes and showered yesterday, and it has nothing to do with the way Garry smells.
