Garry McGivern Travelsonabike2 is cycle touring in China on Thursday, 11th-October-2012. Jinghe to Kuytun. 113 miles. Long day today but nice and flat. It’s been on the motorway mostly. The main road that’s supposed to run along the side of it just doesn’t seem to be there, not that I’m worried it’s nice and smooth on here.
Trouble getting a hotel tonight, not that I couldn’t find one, far from it. The good thing about China is every town seems to have several hotels. This town seems to have at least 7 or 8! It was more a case that they were full, or that’s what they said! I get the feeling sometimes that, because of the language barrier, they just can’t be bothered! Or maybe it’s just because they don’t like the look of me!

Don’t forget the main reason behind my ride. I want to raise as much money for cancer research charities as possible. After my wife, Josie, died of breast cancer in 2007, aged only 42. Even the smallest donation helps. You can donate to Cancer Research UK or the Australian National Breast Cancer Foundation. Click on either one to donate. Every little bit helps to rid the world of this cruel disease.
