Garry McGivern’s cycling around the world, Thursday, 13th-September-2012, in Aktobe. I really do need to get moving tomorrow. I even told the hotel to kick me out tomorrow if I didn’t leave! There wasn’t any excuse for staying today. I’m just being lazy, although I have been busy adding photos to the website. And posting some old photos onto my Flickr Page.
Another reason for staying put is that it’s suddenly turned really cold. Or maybe I’ve just got used to staying in a warm hotel room. No, even the hotel staff commented on how cold it is today. It also started to rain this afternoon, which sort of justified my staying put.
The trouble is the weather’s not going to get any warmer; now we’re in Autumn and heading towards winter. Although I will be heading a little to the south, so things may not get too cold. I hope! I hadn’t realised how close I am to Russia. It’s only about sixty miles up the road. Now that would be an interesting country to cycle around.
