Garry McGivern’s Youtube Video, UK cycle touring, April 2023, episode 2, which was posted on his YouTube channel on the 11th-April-2023. The video was recorded the week before, on the 4th of April. Garry had just spent the night in the New Forest at Hollands Wood campsite. But now it was time to cycle home.
It’s a frosty start to the day, with the tent white from frost. But it’s another lovely sunny day once the sun comes up. And the day starts with the sound of birds singing in the background. Unfortunately, Garry’s camera seems to be playing up, and a lot of the bird song isn’t recorded. (it doesn’t seem to like the cold)
Garry leaves the campsite and is struck by the lack of ponies that have been around. They can generally be seen wandering through the camp. And it’s usually a worry that they will catch the guy ropes as they walk past. Garry eventually comes across some ponies just as he is about to leave the New Forest.
