World Bicycle-Tour Video; Europe

World bicycle-tour video Europe. England to Turkey. These are some of the photos and videos Garry took on the first leg of his epic 22,000-mile bike ride around the world. The images can also be viewed on Garry’s Flickr Page.

It’s October 2011, and Garry is off on the journey of a lifetime! Cycling to Australia! (originally, this wasn’t a world bike ride; Garry was just going to cycle to Australia!)

Garry had spent the past couple of months planning this trip, but now it was finally here! He was going to be cycling to Australia!

After a great send-off from family and friends, at his favourite watering hole, the Fox Inn Felpham. Garry was off on his 14,000-mile bicycle ride.

This is the first leg from Bognor to Istanbul. A ride of over 2000 miles! On route, Garry passed through 8 countries before arriving in Istanbul and the edge of Europe.

  1. Well there’s no doubt about it, boozers are sociable. What a video! You capture the essence of Eastern Europe. But the Nullibor Plain must be etched in your memory for ever. I wish I’d done that.

    1. I’ve always said that! It’s one of the things I’m missing at the moment, with all these new restrictions!
The Nullarbor was definitely a challenge, but I’d do it again tomorrow, given half a chance! Maybe you should try and do it, on a solar-powered bike!
