Garry McGivern’s Youtube Video, cycle touring in the UK in February 2023, episode 1, which he published on the 14th-February-2023. (it’s not a Valentine’s video!). Garry recorded it earlier this month, on the 7th of February. It’s a bright frosty morning, and the central heating has packed up at home, so Garry’s off on his bike rather than shivering at home.
Garry is undecided about where he should cycle to. Should he stay in a hotel in the New Forest or go camping in Salisbury? Decisions decisions. After eventually making a decision, it seems that everything is against him. Ferries aren’t running, and roads and bridges are closed.
